I am the vice-president and general counsel of Kemlon Products & Development Co. and Keystone Engineering Co. where I have gained extensive business experience. Along with my brothers Bill and Russell, I own and operate these growing family businesses. We design and manufacture instrument-quality electrical devices and components that are used worldwide by many industries including the oil industry and the US Navy in their nuclear submarine fleet. We are staffed at locations in Pearland, Houston and Schulenburg with over 410 employees including engineers, accountants, inspectors, machinists, welders, molders, and assembly personnel using the most modern and sophisticated automated computer controlled machinery available. In 1981 I was one of 6 founders of Houston Community Bank (HCB). HCB is a local bank with branches in Houston, Kingwood/Humble, Sugar Land, and Missouri City with additional branches pending in Pearland and Missouri City. As a senior member of HCB’s Board of Directors, I serve on numerous active committees including the Director’s Loan Committee, Audit Committee, and Compensation Committee. I was first elected to the Friendswood School Board in August 1996. In my 9-year term on the FISD Board, I have served as the vice president, secretary, and as the chairman of the audit committee. I have 4 children, a lovely wife, and a super dog that constitute a family that I value above all else. (See the link to John’s Family.) I have come to know many of you through my participation in Little League, Little Dribblers basketball, swimming, soccer, church, and numerous school activities. My hobbies are youth soccer, action photography, and fishing. In my free time I am the parent coach of the Alliance 2009 Division I soccer team. I have enjoyed youth soccer for 19 years; coaching at all levels of play and seeing players form a life-long love for the sport. Many of my players became high school standouts and with a number of them playing at the college level. Gaiden, Ryan, and I have found a home at Friendswood Community Church where we attend regularly. |
